Noor Jahan was the embraced stage name for Allah Wasai (21 September 1926 – 23 December 2000), an artist and performer in British India and Pakistan. Her profession traversed seven decades. She was renoeded as one of the best and most persuasive vocalists of her time in South Asia and was given the honorific title of Malika-e-Tarannum (The Queen Of Meloy). 

Naturally introduced to a Punjabi family of artists, Wasai was pushed by her guardians to follow in their musical strides and turn into an artist yet she was more intrigued by acting in movies and graced the most punctual Pakistani movies with her exhibitions. She has recorded around 10,000 tunes in different laguages of India and Pakistan including Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi and Sindhi languages. Alongside Ahmed Rushdi, she holds the most elevated record of film tunes ever. She is likewise thought to be the first female Pakistani film chief. In 1957, Jahan was recompensed the President's Award for her acting and singing capacities. 

Early Life 

Noor Jahan was naturally introduced to a Muslim family in Kasur, Punjab, British India and was one of the eleven offspring of expert artists Madad Ali and Fateh Bibi.
