Noor Jahan was the embraced stage name for Allah Wasai (September 21, 1926 – December 23, 2000), a vocalist and performer in British India and Pakistan. Her profession crossed seven decades. She was famous as one of the best and most compelling vocalists of her time in South Asia and was given the honorific title of Malika-e-Tarannum, English (The Queen of Melody).
Conceived into a Punjabi group of musical performers, Wasai was pushed by her guardians to follow in their musical strides and turn into an artist yet she was more intrigued by acting in movies and graced the most punctual Pakistani movies with her exhibitions.
